Britney Got Hurt In Concert, Couldn'T Finish Moline, Il Show

I'm just going to let the fans that attended the show do the talking !

Just thought you would like to know:

I just got back from the Moline concert (It was amazing!!), BUT!!! Britters pulled something in her leg or hurt her leg SOMEHOW (I saw her slip and her face scrunched up with pain) and she wasn't able tocomplete the concert!!! Totally bummed that I didn't get to see 'Me Against the Music' and I hope it doesn't cancel the Chicago show or delay the tour!!!

--Jordan

Well Ruben...this is Chelsea from the Quad Cities in Iowa/Illinois and guess what? I saw Britney's concert in Moline tonight and she got hurt! It was a great concert, but you may want to let people know she hurt her leg in Boom Boom so after all the lights came on, she came out and said 'I'm really sorry, I can't finish the set tonight because I hurt my leg really badly..but thanks for coming out' or something..so she DID come out and say something about it, but she had something wrapped around her leg...I don't know if she'll be able to do the next concert? A dancer carried her out after Boom Boom..just to let you know! Thanks!

Chelsea

Ruben, This is Patrick from Chicago. My friends went to the Moline show last nite and they called me in a panic.. BRITNEY GOT HURT! I am so excited about the concert, but now i can not sleep. I am so worried that she will cancel or postpone the show. either way, WHATS GOING ON? have u heard anything yet? please responde! ~Patrick

Hi, Ruben.Britney hurt her leg. More 'Everytime' News From The New York Post

Spears' new video for 'Everytime,' shot in Los Angeles with raunchmaster David LaChappelle, is so racy it might not pass the censors at MTV. 'The video has midgets, freaks and strippers,' said one source. 'It's about her relationship with Justin [Timberlake.]' The suicide scene at the end has already been cut. Stephen Dorff stars as Justin.

The Latest On The 'Everytime' Music Video

World of Britney.com can now reveal that Britney Spears shot her upcoming music video 'Everytime' at the Renaissance Hotel at the Hollywood&Highland complex in Los Angeles. The music video, directed by David LaChapelle was shot over a two day period March 13th-14th. The production team rented the 3595 sq. ft $8000/night Panorama Suite (see floorplan) for the weekend and several different sections of the hotel were used to shoot the video. I am guessing the hallways and the terraces, the entrance/lobby and perhaps the pool area as well. Massive billboards have also been put up advertising the Showtime concert on March 28th right by the entrance of the hotel in front of the Chevron gas station on the intersection of Highland and Franklin.

I am guessing that the idea for this location came after Britney performed right next door at the Hollywood&Highland complex which is the location for the 'On Air with Ryan Seacrest' show.

The Panorama Suite's unique, mid-century modern furnishings evoke the chic motifs of movie stars' Hollywood Hills homes, and include high, vaulted ceilings, motorized drapes, cork floors, a baby grand piano, a wet bar, an elegant dining table with seating for ten, a powder room, and a steam shower and oversized Jacuzzi in the master bath. Plus, the suite can be configured from one to four bedrooms, featuring amenities such as state-of-the-art communications facilities and flat-screen televisions.

It is still unknown if the music video was shot in additional locations in Los Angeles, but there's a possibility it did. 'Everytime' is a ballad though, so I doubt this video will be over the top with special effects like 'Toxic'. I'm guessing the video just might look like a mix of 'Bring Me To Life' and 'My Immortal' by Evanescence, but I could be so wrong! This will be a very very personal and emotional video, as we can tell by the lyrics.

As soon as we have more info, you'll be the first to know !!

Tonight'S Omaha, Ne Show

Ruben,

It's 4:15pm CST and 6---yes 6---tour buses just pulled into the downtown Sheraton in Omaha. I'm sure they've just made the 7 hour trek from Denver to Omaha.

There's rumor that Britney and Co. will be at Nicko's tonight. This is a club here in Omaha. Once we have some sort of word from someone who has an inside scoop, we may just check it out. Also...the Sheraton is a few blocks from some of Omaha's finest clubs, The Max and Club Joy. Maybe we'll spot some dancers.

If we do see some of britney's gang, or the gurl herself, we'll be sure to send along some photos.

Until then....it's showtime tomorrow at 7:30 at Qwest Center!

SCHWING!!

Cory

Britney Tones Down 'Touch Of My Hand' Performance At The Oht

All of you who attended Britney's concert in San Diego on March 2nd, consider yourselves lucky, because apparently, it was the only concert in which Britney showed nudity on stage. Fans are now reporting that during 'Touch of My Hand' Britney switched from nude to shorts and bra. This might change for the Miami Showtime special, but apparently, either the promoter, the label, or well, someone, felt that the Touch of My Hand performance was a little bit too xxx-rated to be continued to be performed in the same way. Interesting !

 'The Onyx Hotel Tour'

The Onyx Hotel Tour. Where do I begin? Once you've been a fan for so long, and once you attend all of her tours, going and seeing a new one on the opening night, doesn't only give you the butterflies due to the excitement, but you also feel a personal connection to the fact that you've been there since the beginning, watching the evolution of how the tours have evolved to break boundaries, and finally show and display who Britney really is today.

I have had an everlasting issue with Britney, ever since 'Britney' came out, and that was that, it became harder and harder to feel a personal connection to her because it was hard to figure out if something she was doing was because she truly meant it coming from her heart, of if it was something she did purely for the additive of her commercial image and well put out marketing plan.

Every fan knows that there came a period in Britney's career, when she lost touch with her fans on a personal level. Most people felt like it was due to that she became so big, and once you become so big, and you feel like, the meetings with 200 fans every day, the meet and greets and the 'Win a Contest to meet Britney sponsored by J-14' begin to get old, your perspective of your fans change. Her stalkers and the people that are out to hurt her multiply exponentially, and you're forced to distance yourself from your fans, for your own protection.

The Onyx Hotel Tour, brought the original feeling back, that I could actually feel that I was emotionally connected to Britney again. This tour does not have a catwalk, this tour features no waterfalls, no expensive props (i.e the waterfall, the music box on DWAD) and it features no pyrotechnics besides a few flames here and there. If anyone would have told me this before attending the concert, I would most likely have gotten disappointed, due to the fact that I as a fan, am used to Britney's people putting on productions of the century that are so technically advanced, that once you enter the arena, you feel like you're taken to a parallel universe, where Britney is the ruler, and the visual imagery, the choreography and the explosions, is what makes that parallel universe go around, and I'm of course talking about the Dream Within a Dream Tour.

The Onyx Hotel Tour had a little something, that none of her past tours have ever had, and it proved that, you could put on a concert that clearly showed it had less financial support from the label, but through genius thinking, turn it into a 2 hour emotional and inspiration rollercoaster that leaves you nothing but breathless during certain performances.

As we were on our way to the concert, I called up Britney's tour director and choreographer on my cell phone, I had not talked to him for a while, so I wanted to see what he was up to. When I called him, he automatically knew that I was on my way to San Diego and that was the reason why I was calling him. I asked him to give me something, something about that night's concert, that would get us excited.

He said, 'Well, I can't give too much away, but when Britney performs 'Touch of My Hand' and 'Breathe On Me', BE READY FOR IT'. As I was saying what he was saying out loud to the other people that were with me in my car, I heard shocks and screams because none of them thought that Britney was going to perform 'Touch of My Hand' due it's lyrical context.

The excitement grew. I hung up with him and proceeded to tell the girls anything else I had heard. I had with me 3 fans, Betsey, a friend of mine who's an assistant producer at NBC, Crystal, another friend of mine whom I met at Jay Leno when Britney was performing, and Lindsay, Crystal's friend. These three girls were in 3 totally different stages of their 'Britney Fandom', Crystal being the biggest one that felt so excited she would go into her own little world, where she would just sit still and stare at a point in space, where she would take herself to Britney World and almost shed a tear because of the excitement that was floating around us that day.

We met up with Chrystal (a different one) and her friend as we had dinner at the Mission Valley Beni Hanas. All 6 of us had dinner there, to later proceed to the San Diego Sports Arena. We arrived there at 8:20 PM while Kelis was performing. We weren't too excited about her, which is why we didn't arrive to the concert at 7:30 pm. As the ticking of the clock was approaching 9 PM, our anticipation grew. The arena was sold out, and there's nothing like a sold out arena packed with 15,000 fans who last time they saw Britney in concert was over 2 years ago.

After Kelis finished, the stage was prepped for Britney. At 9:01 PM the lights went out. It's very hard to explain in words what it feels like being in the middle of everything having so many people scream at the same time. The vibe around the arena was much much bigger than the one experienced during her DWAD tour.  The volume of the screams grew louder as the minutes passed.

A drum beat was heard, another one following. The concert began. I saw 4 dancers suspended all the way up at the top of the stage through wires. They were waiting for their cue. My initial impression of the stage was much different from the one I expected. I initially thought it would look like something taken out of the show 'Hollywood Squares' due to that it was going to have a hotel feel. So here's how it looks. The middle of the stage has what looks like 4 or 5 sliding 20x10 screens, that together make a 40-50 feet vertical sliding elevator. The elevator is not actually there, it's more like a video of it. Out comes the host/concierge of the Onyx Hotel that to me looked very much like Boy George, but chunkier, with a violet outfit. He actually reminded me a little bit of that dude from Fox's 'My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiancée'.

Anyway, as he welcomed everyone into the Onyx Hotel, it was time for Britney to take the stage. She started out with 'Toxic' and the energy that she put into this performance was something out of this world. She came out on top of something that looked like a 1930's elevator lift, that had wheels, and sliding poles on the side.

The songs that she performed (and I will try to put them in order, but, I might have forgotten some) were Toxic, Showdown, Boys, Outrageous, BOMT, Crazy, I've Got That Boom Boom, The Hookup, Oops! I Did It Again, I'm A Slave 4 U, Everytime, Shadow, Breathe on Me, Touch of My Hand and the encore was Me Against The Music. I probably forgot to mention one or two, but you get the idea :). There was a part where she lol, at the beginning, hahaha....uhm.....she was like 'There are a lot of handsome guys in the audience today, if any of you is lucky enough, I might marry you'. She was such a tease. Everyone laughed.

Now let's proceed to what I was talking about before in regards to the feelings this tour will stir in fans. The Dream Within A Dream tour was overproduced, and the whole combination of the wire works, the bungee jump, the waterfall, the props and the explosion, left very little time for a relaxed moment where Britney could just sit down and connect with her fans. You might say she did it with Not A Girl, but nothing, and I mean, nothing compared to what she did on this tour with 'Everytime', and let me explain why.

The intro to 'Everytime' started with a video onscreen where Britney is seen walking around a garden/jungle with an outfit that camouflages her with her surroundings. As she's walking around the bushes, she spots a Piano in the middle of the garden decorated with plants, flowers and beautiful roses. She sits down on it, and that is when the video ends and the stage is lit up. The same Piano seen in the video is now seen in the middle of the stage. Britney comes out and takes a seat by it. This is when she began talking to her fans, and she said something like:

'The past 6 months have been like an extreme rollercoaster for me, I've made mistakes and I have been through many things that we all go through, including heartbreak. All of these things combined have made me stronger and it has made me who I am today, right now. I wrote this song, and it means a lot to me, it's called 'Everytime'.

Now, this entire time, the emotional level at the concert was at its highest. Fans were totally connecting with her, cheering and screaming louder than ever to a point where Britney was having a hard time beginning the song. The cheers grew even stronger and that's when she shed a couple of tears because it was like a affirmation to her how many fans still loved her and supported her despite everything that had happened, and everything that she had gone through, and when you have 15,000 fans acknowledging your heart for who you are, and nothing else, it's probably one of the greatest feelings in the world.

That was just the intro, and now, she began singing 'Everytime' and that's when it hit me. Everyone was singing along to a point where it was hard to spot her voice. I cannot even begin to explain how it feels to sing along with so many thousands of people, and having Britney in the center stage. Lighters were lit, and people were moving to the left and right. Everybody was so into it, it was an amazing feeling. A feeling you will experience soon !

Another really cool performance was 'Shadow' where she was raised all the way up with wires having a dancer to the left and a dancer to the right suspended in blankets only, doing aerobatics that were in synch with the powerful highlights of the song. It reminded me of a Cirque De Soleil performance and it was done in a very beautiful and artistic way. This is something that sets this tour apart from all the others. It has a lot of art, a lot of style, and one thing that you will experience that was barely seen in the other tours is that The Onyx Hotel features A LOT of ballet.

Now....to the controversy. This concert will get very harsh reviews by certain critics. They will do their best to send out their message to the parents asking them to NOT bring their younger kids to the show. When the 'Everytime' phase was over, which also included prior performances of songs from her older albums, we went into the now and future phase, introduced by Jada Pinkett Smith and the songs following were very, very sexual. Britney started off by doing a cabaret version of Baby One More Time (as heard in the 'In The Zone' ABC special) with a 1930's microphone that was an extension of a whip. Britney was wearing what looked like a traditional 'saloon' outfit with pantyhose, showing a lot, and I mean, a lot of skin, and that was just the beginning.

Here comes the juicy part, and I'm just going to let it all out!. The 'Touch of My Hand' performance is introduced by yet another video, where Britney's in her robe watching TV. As she's changing the channels, she switches to a channel that's showing her laying on the bed. At first she doesn't understand what's going on, but when she looks at herself laying there, she begins to get aroused. She then looks over towards the bathroom and her facial expressions show everything that you can imagine ;). The video shows her getting the tub ready as the water is pouring down, and everything is shot in a very, very sensual way. The video ends, and Britney takes the stage in the same white robe that she was wearing in the video. Next to her is a transparent tub.

She starts singing 'Touch of My Hand' and keeps the robe on for a minute or so, making everybody wonder if she's going to take it off or not. Suddenly, she turns around and takes it off, showing her entire nude body, only covered by a body suit very similar to the one shown in the 'Toxic' music video. Trust me, you see A LOT, lol. She then steps into the tub and this is when the wild stuff begins. All of this is happening on the left of the stage on an elevated platform, while there are 3 beds on the main stage where 3 of her dancers are laying there. They all being touching themselves, and Britney does the same.

There's even a part where Britney brings her legs up and spreads them ALL THE WAY while running her hands all the way down there. I think everyone was really, really shocked. This was followed by Touch of My Hand where Britney got on a mattress with one of her dancers and started simulating different sexual positions and sexual acts only by barely touching each other, only running their hands on top of their bodies and later making it look like they're grabbing eachother's sexual auras and putting it on themselves.

At the same time, those 4-5 screens that were originally used to simulate the Onyx Hotel elevator are now showing a pink background with silhouettes of people having sex, there was even one that portrayed people having a threesome. All of this while her male dancers on the other beds are shown taking all of their clothes off only to be left in tight boxer shorts. There were even two dancers portraying gay seduction.

So, if what I just said left you breathless, just wait till you experience this for yourself while you're there. I know this might be hard to believe, but that's fine, you'll see it for yourself :)

Everyone was shocked, I was like dying cause I couldn't believe what I had just seen. I think that this will spark a lot of controversy and critics will use this to advise younger fans and their parents to not attend this show. It is a very, very mature production and it depicts exactly where Britney is at right now. Even though this tour is much much simpler in terms of production than the DWAD it takes you into places that you had not been before in terms of how you connect with Britney.

Britney finished the concert with 'Me Against The Music' wearing a red outfit with a hat. Overall, the concert was both shocking and amazing. It left me breathless. It left everyone breathless. One thing's for sure. After seeing this concert, you'll never listen to 'In The Zone' in the same way again. Go see it, you're in for a surprise ;)

And So.....The 2004 Onyx Hotel Tour Began....

I hope nobody thought were were gonna let you down or anything !!!?

Allright, so, fans in the US, fans from all over the world, listen up ! LoL.

Are you ready for some kick ass interactivity tonight or what? For all of you who've visited us for a while, you know what it means when WoB has a live coverage. It's one of the things that makes us unique and separates us from the rest. We have been successful in covering everything from the Michael Jackson Tribute Concert (2001) to the In The Zone ABC Gotham Hall Concert (2003) and make fans feel like they're there, and that's a couple of months before it airs on TV.

On March 2nd, 2004 fans from all over the world will be able to log on to World of Britney.com and receive feeds directly from The San Diego Sports Arena where Britney Spears will kick-off the biggest tour of her career, that by the end of the year will have hit Europe, Asia and Australia. We will hook all of ya up with all the juicy details of the before and afters and we will of course have pictures after the concert. This is all audio feeds, not video feeds, and the point is to make you feel like you're there with us (we will be 4 people).

I am using all means possible allowed by technology to make this not only be efficient, but also fast. I will be bringing my laptop with me in my car, which will be hooked up to a Sprint CDMA CF2031 Wireless Access Point card which allows me to surf the Internet at high speed anywhere I am. This will be used so that once we all take pictures with our digicams, I can grab the memory sticks, put em in my laptop, and upload them to the site right after we exit the arena.

Please note:
Due to that I am one of the ones doing the live coverages, I won't be able to sit at the computer and receive myself, lol, so the reports that are reported during and at the end of the concert will be delayed until I get out of the concert and start updating from the car, ok?? But we will do a couple of reports prior to the concert which should go up instantly.

If all goes well, all goes well, if not, then well, I'm gonna crack myself up !!

I have also been asked by ABC to share my review of tonight's concert with them, which willl go up either tonight (if I'm not too tired), or tomorrow morning !

Next time you hear from me, it will be from the opening concert of The Onyx Hotel, I am so excited I can't wait !!!!!! The opening acts start at 7:30 PM and Britney usually goes on stage at 9 PM.

I will do my best to make sure that everything is up as soon as possible though ;).

But, but, one of us was able to bring a camera in, but those pictures need to be developed and we will have them tomorrow evening. For now, here is the first picture from The Onyx Hotel Tour which I took with my cell phone !.

WoB's official review of the opening concert is coming soon ! stay tuned !

Updates...

Ok, I couldn't take it anymore, the whole deal we've been having the past week or two with the one-or-two-update-a-day deal. I know things have been slow and stuff and I guess I'm harder on myself than what most of you are on me, so I felt like making it up to you. My life right now could not be any more busy and stressful, with me graduating March 19th, taking on the WoBx girl and getting ready for film school. I decided to just stay up and go crazy with updates, think I've done like 14 or so during the night, so this update is pretty much to remind you to press the 'Next Page' all the way to the bottom to make sure that you don't miss all the updates that have probably been forwarded to Page 2 but that are still new. Enjoy the updates :)
